The Application Process:

then, prepare and gather your information to apply

Consisting of:

  • a 500-750 word personal statement;
  • two references (professional, academic or volunteer);
  • educational information (western student number, year of graduation, degree information); 
  • a resume/cv (Certificate programs only)

and then pay

  • $100 non-refundable application fee

The Western Advantage

Applicants with Western degrees or those in their final year of studies will receive an expedited decision on their admission assessment. The post-degree admissions team will review and deliver an admission decision to you via email within five day period. This is our promise to you!

Domestic Applicant (Canadian, Graduate of a Canadian University)

The Application Process:

Simply, select your program 

then, prepare and gather your information to apply

Consisting of:

  • a 500-750 word personal statement;
  • two references (professional, academic or volunteer);
  • educational information (year of graduation, university and degree information); 
  • transcripts (unofficial transcripts will be permitted at the time of application. Originals documents will be requested and are required);
  • a resume/cv (Certificate programs only)

and then pay

  • $100 non-refundable application fee 

International Applicant

The Application Process:

Before you apply to Western Continuing Studies, you will first need to:

  • Apply to WES Course by Course Evaluation (ICAP). Please select Western Continuing Studies as Recipient 2: Instituition when applying. NOTE: Do not select Western University.
    This application must be submitted prior to applying to Western Continuing Studies.

If applicable, you may also be asked to provide:

  • Proof of English Proficiency 
    Students must meet English proficiency requirements as set by Western University Admissions. Unofficial test results will be accepted at the time of application. Original test result documents will also be required as part of the application and admission process.
    NOTE: English proficiency waivers may be approved, IF an applicant has completed a degree at a recognized university where its medium of instruction is recognized as English. 

  • Permanent Residency  (if applicable)
    If you are a permanent resident you will submit this information electronically through the application. All information should be clear and legible on the document.

  • educational information (year of graduation, university and degree information); 
  • a resume/cv (Certificate programs only)

and then pay

  • $100 non-refundable application fee
