Admission Requirements
You have a passion for business management, strong interpersonal skills, values ethics and integrity, and uphold a high degree of professionalism.
- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- A recommended minimum average of 70% in the
last two years of study

HURS 6005 – Finance and Accounting
HURS 6006 – Training and Development
HURS 6007 – Labour Relations *
HURS 6008 – Talent Acquisition *
HURS 6009 – Compensation
HURS 6010 – Law for Human Resources *
* denotes year one courses for part-time students. The remaining courses are taken in year two, followed by the culminating practicum.
Practicum
When
May to August
You will complete the 560-hour placement over a 16-week period (35 hours/week).
Location
The practicum location is based on your preference and site availability.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of term one and term two courses is required before you can complete the culminating practicum placement.
Compensation
Sites may choose to offer payment, a monthly stipend or honorarium, but it is at the site's discretion and is not required for sites to be eligible to participate.
After successful completion of the required courses and practicum placement, students will graduate with a Diploma in Human Resources. These courses are recognized by the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) and meet course requirements towards CHRP/CHRL designations.
