Diploma

The diploma is geared toward students with a university degree in a health sciences or a science-related field, with little or no experience in the field of clinical trials and includes a 400-hour practicum during which students gain hands-on work experience.

Certificate

The Certificate is geared towards working professionals who have a minimum of two years work experience in a related field.  The certificate includes only the completion of credit courses, with no practicum.

Practicum

CTMG6103 Practicum in Clinical Trials Management

Work with our Placement Coordinator to prepare an effective resume and strengthen your interview and networking skills. You have an opportunity to apply to postings that are published to the class on the student intranet, or to work with the Placement Coordinator one-one-one to explore specific organizations that match your practicum and career goals.

When

May to August
You will complete the 400-hour placement over a 16-week period.  

Location

The practicum location is based on your preference and site availability.  

Prerequisites

Successful completion of term one and term two courses is required before you can complete the culminating practicum placement. 

Compensation

Sites may choose to offer payment, a monthly stipend or honorarium, but it is at the site's discretion and is not required for sites to be eligible to participate.

Completion

Once admitted to the program, students are required to maintain an overall average of 70% with no single grade below 60%. If enrolled in the certificate program, students must successfully complete all courses in order to satisfy program requirements and graduate with a Certificate in Clinical Trials Management. If enrolled in the diploma program, students must successfully complete all courses, and the practicum placement in order to satisfy program requirements and graduate with a Certificate in Clinical Trials Management.
